WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE

With great anticipation in my heart that the day has finally come for my heart desire to be fulfilled,nothing else made sense to me than  the fact that I will be seeing miss pretty whom I call UCHECHI 1. Trust that i will be on my best cloths and pair of shoes and definitely couldn't have forgotten to finish it up with my expensive watch which dad actually got me…  i practically was on  top the world. Walked my best friend to campus 3 to write his examination which was pretty unusual for me to do but since UCHECHI 1 was involved, i was ready to break protocols. Made my first call at 12pm but she didn’t take my call, that was the first strike I got in my heart(BANG) but as usual all guys would give the lady an excuse for not picking the call…still sat from 12pm till bout 3pm waiting for my best friend to finish his exams and  at the same time waiting to see if my luck would shine and see her walk pass, by 3pm I called back and d voice mail answered me. By this time your guy wasn’t smiling at all or ready to give her an excuse for not taking the call…so I told Edwin lets travel home cos that day was the end of exams as my heart was broken and devastated and I just wanted to rain fire and brimstone on the earth for her not picking my call so Edwin and I entered keke na pep going home bout to 5. Upon arrival at ivie junction I sited her entering a keke na pep and exclaimed "Edwin that’s UCHECHI" and he told me to try give her a call of which I did but still didn’t take my call…so I made up my mind  that definitely the day wasn't going as I had planned.  At that instant, I concluded I would give her a call later in d evening  just to tell of how heartless she was for not fulfilling her promise of us meeting.

       Still  heavyhearted I got to my apartment packed my bags and was ready to leave when my phone rang and Edwin shouted is it UCHE but nop was an unknown number and  as i picked, i heard the calm voice  which calmed the range inside of me “HELLO SAMUEL” but trust warri boy na ... I  still styled and asked who’s on the line and she replied UCHE with her voice  filled wit guilt hope you’ve not travelled? I replied nop and said you didn’t do good by not picking my calls of which she explained that she was busy running around to get some books she needed for her resumption…so she described her location and in a  jiffy i was there waiting for her  to come out as inside of me was finally my TRUE ROMANCE STORY was coming to pass and not quite long MISS UCHECHI arrived with her lovely sister NGOZI and only the smile from their faces could  even make you beat yourself for ever been angry that’s when the parable came to mind "INDEED MY GOD NOR GO EVER FAIL ME"(PIDGIN)…we walked down to their lodge and it was like the best hostel have ever seen in my school…as usual I greeted the dudes I saw in the hostel in warri language ‘’BROS I HAIL’’ and we walked past and entered her room which was as radiant and beautiful as the sisters were.
      A dude and  another cutie  were in the room  so I shook hands with the dude and greeted the cutie as UCHECHI introduced the beautiful lady as a friend and the dude as her friend also as she followed it wit her charming smile which  I couldn’t help but smiled back until  she said, "he  is actually my ‘’BOY FRIEND”…those  two latter words made me leave the room spiritually but physically seating on the bed like JEEZ…but still had to give the fake smile like all was well as a confirm ed warri boy.  Few minutes from  the shocker, your boy was on his feet excusing himself to leave as I told her I needed to be travelling cos it was getting dark and she walked me to where I took my keke na pep and lef. My friends‘’W, that was how i came up with the saying WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE’’ as my supposed romantic and joyous day I planned turned out to be the worst day of my life…..
